About Us

The Northeast Florida Regional Council (NEFRC) contracts with the Florida Department of Health to manage the Healthcare Coalition program. Healthcare coalitions are a Federal initiative funded through the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) to facilitate a multi-agency coordinating group that assists with preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation activities related to healthcare organization's disaster operations.

The Region 3 Healthcare Coalition Alliance is a collaborative network of healthcare organizations and their public and private response partners across 18 counties in Northeast Florida. The Alliance includes three healthcare coalitions that work together to provide plans, training, exercises, and equipment to increase the capabilities of the regional healthcare system.
